“Dalit Warshaw and Jessica Meyer: Intimate Voices” at Spectrum NYC.
An evening of music old and new that explores deep, interpersonal experiences, using a unique combination of sounds that include viola, piano, and countertenor. Works include Brahms’s Two Songs, Steven Burke’s Cradle Song, Jessica Meyer’s Seasons of Basho, and the world premiere of Warshaw’s Ballade, to express private moments between woman and herself, mother and child, and lover to lover.
Performers: Nicholas Tamagna (countertenor), Jessica Meyer (viola), Dalit Warshaw (piano).
